The Roughriders made a fast start to the season as they won five of their first six games, only to see their form nose-dive in late July.
They lost back-to-back games, 20-16 in Montreal and 42-31 at home to Edmonton, before playing out a 22-22 tie in Ottawa.
Saskatchewan then suffered a 27-24 defeat to Montreal, and that was followed by a 20-19 loss to Toronto and back-to-back defeats to Winnipeg, 35-33 at home and 26-21 on the road.
The Roughriders have steadied the ship in recent weeks however, backing up a 37-29 win in Calgary with a 29-16 victory over Ottawa.
Edmonton Elks Form
Edmonton return home looking to bounce back from a couple of defeats at the hands of Winnipeg.
The Elks made a miserable start to the 2024 season as they lost seven straight games, but they did manage to turn around their form in August.
A 42-31 win in Saskatchewan was following by a 33-16 victory over BC and a 47-22 success in Hamilton.
Edmonton’s run was ended by a 21-17 loss in Montreal, but they rebounded quickly to win back-to-back meetings with Calgary, 35-20 on the road and 37-16 at home.
The Elks failed to keep that run going however, as they returned from the bye to lose back-to-back meetings with Winnipeg, 27-14 at home and 55-27 on the road.

Edmonton’s cover streak was ended in the last two games, but there is no hotter team in the CFL right now than Winnipeg.
