The Argonauts, who finished the regular season 10-8, began this good run late in the regular season as they beat the BC Lions 33-17 on the road.
They then bounced back from a 31-33 defeat to Hamilton with a three-game win streak that saw them beat Montreal 37-31, Winnipeg 14-11 and Ottawa 38-31.
Toronto failed to make it four-in-a-row, as they lost 31-30 in overtime to Edmonton in the regular season finale, but a playoff place was already secure at that point.
The Argonauts hosted Ottawa in last weekend’s East Division Semi-Final, and they ran out 58-38 winners to set up this meeting with Montreal.
Montreal Alouettes Form
Montreal enter the East Division Final looking to bounce back from a couple of defeats at the end of the regular season.
The defending champion Alouettes sealed their return to the postseason quickly, as they won 10 of their first 11 games.
That meant that when their form dipped over the final several weeks, it did not even cost them a bye in the playoffs.
Montreal won just two of their final seven games, losing four times and tying once, and they have not won since the 19-12 victory over Ottawa on October 14.
The Alouettes lost their final two regular season games, 27-3 at the BC Lions and 28-27 at home to Winnipeg.

Montreal finished with the better regular season record, but Toronto are the team in better form.
