Winnipeg enter this matchup looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since late June.

The Blue Bombers began the 2025 campaign with a couple of wins over BC, downing the Lions 34-20 at home and 27-14 on the road.

They made it three-in-a-row with a 36-23 victory over Edmonton, only then go cold and lost their next three games.

Winnipeg lost back-to-back meetings with Calgary, 37-16 on the road and 41-20 at home, and then fell to a 31-17 defeat in Toronto.

The Argonauts finally stopped the rot last week though, as they played host to the Argonauts and won 40-31.

Calgary Stampeders Form

Calgary return home in need of a victory, having dropped back-to-back games to fall to 5-3 on the season.

The Stampeders opened the season with a 38-26 home win over Hamilton, and backed that up by downing defending champions Toronto on the road, 29-19.

They failed to make it three-in-a-row as they were beaten 20-12 by Ottawa before the bye, but they responded strongly.

Calgary got back on track with a 37-16 win over Winnipeg, and backed that up by heading out on the road to down Saskatchewan, 24-10, and the Blue Bombers again, 41-20.

The Stampeders have not won since though, losing 23-21 at home to Montreal and 31-11 in Ottawa.

Verdict

Calgary have gone cold over the past couple of weeks, but we are backing them to stop the road.

The Stampeders have a couple of convincing wins over Winnipeg already this season, and that trend is likely to continue here.
