Winnipeg have won five straight games to improve to 9-2 and retain top spot in the West Division.
The Blue Bombers opened the season with a 42-31 win against Hamilton and backed it up with a 45-27 success in Saskatchewan.
They then suffered a setback with a 30-6 loss to the BC Lions, only to rebound quickly with a 17-3 win at Montreal and a 24-11 victory over Calgary.
Winnipeg then suffered a surprise 31-28 overtime defeat in Ottawa, but their response was a 28-14 victory over Edmonton and that was the start of this five game streak.
The Blue Bombers beat BC 50-14 at home, and then won 38-29 in Edmonton and 19-18 at Calgary, before returning home to down Montreal 47-17.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Form
Saskatchewan exit the bye week looking to build on a shock victory that kept them in the playoff hunt at 5-5.
The Roughriders went 1-2 over the first three weeks of the season, sandwiching a 45-27 loss to Winnipeg with a 17-13 win at Edmonton and 29-26 double overtime victory in Calgary.
They then returned from a bye week to beat Edmonton 12-11, only to then lost three consecutive games – 33-31 to Calgary, 19-9 at BC Lions and 31-13 to Toronto.
Saskatchewan stopped the rot with a 26-24 success against Ottawa, but they were unable to follow that up as they were then blown out 41-12 in Montreal.
The Roughriders did rebound in style however, upsetting the BC Lions 34-29 before their second bye week of the campaign.
Verdict
Winnipeg have been piling up wins and usually win by more than 7.5 points, so we like them as a road betting favorite.
