FA Cup Predictions - Feb 13th to Feb 16th

The FA Cup returns this weekend, with 16 ties scheduled between Friday and Monday. We’ve picked out five matches that catch our eye, with the best value bets based on recent form and goal stats.

Manchester City vs Salford - Manchester City Over 4.5 Team Goals

Salford will have bad memories of their last trip to the Etihad Stadium. The Ammies suffered a painful 8-0 FA Cup reversal at this venue 13 months ago. 


Pep Guardiola's side proved ruthless in a 10-1 thrashing of Exeter in Round three, and another dominant win should be expected this weekend. With City's attacking depth and home advantage, backing the hosts to score five or more goals looks like a great value pick. 

Hull vs Chelsea - Chelsea to Win/Over 2.5 Goals

A high-scoring away win seems likely in Friday's FA Cup contest. Chelsea have enjoyed a solid run of form, picking up victories in six of their last eight matches. Five of their six most recent fixtures also resulted in a minimum of three goals being scored. 

Hull have been involved in several high-scoring matches this season. Four of their last six games finished with over 2.5 goals scored, while an average of exactly three goals per game were scored in 31 league fixtures this season. 

Liverpool vs Brighton - Liverpool to Win

Liverpool will be expected to bounce back to form against an out-of-form Seagulls side. The Reds scored victories in three of their last four matches and in four of their last five matches against Brighton.

Brighton make the trip to Anfield now winless in five matches, with defeats suffered in three of their four most recent fixtures. Fabian Hurzeler's side also slipped to defeat in their last three game at Anfield. 

Southampton vs Leicester - BTTS/Over 2.5 Goals

Just four days on from a remarkable encounter in the Championship, Southampton and Leicester square off at St Mary's Stadium. The Saints fought back from three goals behind to secure a remarkable 4-3 win at the King Power. 

Another entertaining contest seems likely this weekend. Leicester have seen over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six matches, and in eight of ten previous encounters against the Saints. 

Birmingham vs Leeds - BTTS

An intriguing contest is set for St. Andrew's on Sunday as an in-form Birmingham hosts Premier League opponents Leeds. The hosts have enjoyed a strong run, remaining unbeaten in their last eight matches, while Leeds have lost two of their 14 previous fixtures.

With both sides in fine form, goals at both ends seem likely. Leeds have seen BTTS in all but three of their 17 previous matches. Birmingham have seen the same outcome in eight of their last nine games at St. Andrew's.
