In 2023, Team Europe tied with Team USA 14-14 at Finca Cortesin in Spain to retain the Solheim Cup.
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Club was the host venue for the Presidents Cup in 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2005, where the United States defeated the Internationals on all four occasions.

The Solheim Cup has been contested in the United States of America nine times, with Team USA clinching the title on seven occasions, compared to twice for Team Europe.
Team USA have recorded ten victories to seven over Team Europe, including one tie in 18 editions of the Solheim Cup; however, Team Europe have won the last three tournaments, twice at home and once away.
Team USA have an outstanding record on home soil in this competition, which gives them the advantage to regain the Solheim Cup in Virginia.

A close contest is expected at the 2024 Solheim Cup, as both teams boast skilled players, with the outcome likely achieved on which golfers can stay composed under pressure throughout the three days of competition.
Scores between Team USA and Team Europe have been tight affairs over the last five editions of the Solheim Cup, with Team USA winning 14 1/2-13 1/2 in 2015 and 16 1/2-11 1/2 in 2017, and Team Europe 14 1/2-13 1/2 in 2019, Europe 15-13 in 2021 before a 14-14 tie in 2023.
Both teams have talented players in their lineup, and tight, competitive match-ups are predicted, with Team USA coming out on top to win 15 1/2-12 1/2.

Lilia Vu has achieved excellent results this year on the LPGA Tour, including a victory and two runner-up places at the Majors.
Vu secured the title at the Meijer LPGA Classic and placed T2 at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and T2 at the recent AIG Women's Open.
Other prominent performances achieved by Vu this season include finishing 18th at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, T7 at the Honda LPGA Thailand, T21 at the Ford Championship and T12 at the CPKC Women's Open.
Vu compiled a record of 1-3-0 at the 2023 Solheim Cup.
Lilia Vu performs well on the big stage and will be tough to stop if she can reproduce the form she showed at the Majors this season.

Charley Hull has played consistently well on the LPGA and LET during 2024, producing multiple top-five finishes.
Hull's best results include placing T7 at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, T3 at the Aramco Ladies International, 2nd at the Aramco Team Series, T10 at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, T13 at the JM Eagle LA Championship, 2nd at the Aramco Team Series, T16 at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and 5th at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open.
Hull was part of the 2013, 2019, 2021 and 2023 Solheim Cup winning teams and has compiled a record of 12-7-3 at this event.
Charley Hull has played solid golf throughout the year and will use her experience to her advantage when competing against Team USA.
Format
The Solheim Cup takes place over three days, comprising 28 matches and 28 points at stake.
Each victory in a match is worth one point, and a tie is worth half a point.
- Day 1: 4 Foursome matches in the morning and 4 Four-ball matches in the afternoon.
- Day 2: 4 Foursome matches in the morning and 4 Four-ball matches in the afternoon.
- Day 3: 12 Singles matches.
Verdict
Team USA have performed well on their home soil in the past, giving them the edge they need to beat Team Europe and regain the Solheim Cup for the first time since 2017.
Another close contest is predicted between Team USA and Team Europe, with the home team securing the title with a 15.5-12.5 victory at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
