The FedEx Cup playoffs begin with the FedEx St Jude Championship at TPC Southwind this week, but which member of the elite 70-man field will claim the crown?
Hideki Matsuyama is back to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Viktor Hovland and Xander Schauffele.
These are our selections that could win the title this weekend.
Russell Henley
Russell Henley has been in excellent touch lately, placing T5 at the Memorial Tournament, T10 at the U.S. Open, T2 at the Travelers Championship, and T10 at the Open Championship.
Other noteworthy results achieved by Henley on the PGA Tour this season include a T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T5 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T6 at the Cognizant Classic, a victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and a T8 at the RBC Heritage.
The world's fifth-ranked player has made three appearances at the St. Jude Championship, with results of MC in 2022, T6 in 2023, and T30 in 2024.

Harris English
Harris English has been in fine form on the PGA Tour since May, placing T11 at the Truist Championship, T2 at the PGA Championship, T53 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T12 at the Memorial Tournament, T59 at the U.S. Open, T4 at the Travelers Championship, T22 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and 2nd at the Open Championship.
Other prominent performances achieved by English this year include a victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, a T24 at the Genesis Invitational, a T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, and a T12 at the Masters.
The world's eighth-ranked player has featured twice at the FedEx St. Jude, finishing T52 in 2023 and T61 in 2024.
English has been having an outstanding season and will fancy his chances of taking home the winner's cheque in Tennessee.
Chris Gotterup
Chris Gotterup has been in fine fettle on the PGA Tour lately, placing T23 at the U.S. Open, T26 at the Rocket Classic, T21 at the John Deere Classic, victory at the Genesis Scottish Open, 3rd at the Open Championship, and T10 at the 3M Open.

Wyndham Clark

Additional highlights achieved by Clark this season include finishing T15 at the Sentry, T16 at the WM Phoenix Open, T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and T5 at the Texas Children's Houston Open.
The former U.S. Open champion has competed at the FedEx St. Jude Championship on three occasions, placing T28 in 2022, T66 in 2023, and T7 in 2024.
