A competitive field of players have assembled in Georgia to contest the final PGA Tour event of the year at the Sea Island Golf Club. Who will take home the winner's check come Sunday?
Adam Svensson returns to St. Simons Island to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Brian Harman, Callum Tarren, and Sahith Theegala in 2022.
The players will tee off on the Seaside Course and Plantation Course on Thursday and Friday and complete rounds three and four on the Seaside Course.
Past major winners in the lineup include Webb Simpson, Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, Davis Love III, Francesco Molinari, Jason Dufner, Geoff Ogilvy, Padraig Harrington and Jimmy Walker.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Ludvig Aberg
Ludvig Aberg has been producing superb results in every tournament he has played in during the past four months.
He has placed T14 at the Wyndham Championship, T4 at the D+D Real Czech Masters, victory at the Omega European Masters, T10 at the BMW PGA Championship, T2 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T13 at the Shriners Children's Open and T10 at the World Wide Technology Championship.
Aberg captured four titles as an amateur early this year, winning the Prestige, the Valspar Collegiate, the Big 12 Men's Championship, and the NCAA Norman Regional before turning professional in June, with his best results being T25 at the RBC Canadian Open, T24 at the Travelers Championship and T4 at the John Deere Classic in six starts.
The young Swede is debuting at the RSM Classic in Georgia this weekend.
Aberg has been knocking hard with top performances and has an excellent chance of winning the title this weekend.
Eric Cole
Eric Cole has been in great touch on the PGA Tour since August, placing T14 at the Wyndham Championship, T25 at the BMW Championship, 4th at the Fortinet Championship, T35 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T3 at the Shriners Children's Open and T2 at the ZOZO Championship in Japan.
Cole's other notable achievements this season include finishing T15 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, 2nd at the Honda Classic, T5 at the Mexico Open, T23 at the AT&T Byron Nelson, T15 at the PGA Championship, T24 at the Memorial Tournament, T6 at the RBC Canadian Open and T24 at the Travelers Championship.
The American is debuting at the RSM Classic this weekend.
Cole has had a meteoric rise in the world rankings this year, breaking into the top fifty places after some excellent performances on the golf course and will look to finish on a high with a victory at the Sea Island Golf Club.
Justin Suh
Justin Suh struggled around the greens for most of his season on the PGA Tour but has come good in recent months, placing T24 at the Omega European Masters (DP World Tour), T30 at the Fortinet Championship, T56 at the Shriners Children's Open, T10 at the ZOZO Championship and 4th at the World Wide Technology Championship.
Additional highlights from Suh's year include finishing T20 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T5 at the Honda Classic, T24 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T6 at the Players Championship, T23 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T26 at the PGA Championship and T16 at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
The former world number one amateur placed 66th overall on his debut at this tournament last year.
Suh has found some form and is a great putter, giving him a chance to land his first PGA Tour title at the RSM Classic this weekend.
Akshay Bhatia
Akshay Bhatia has been thereabouts in his last three starts on the PGA Tour, finishing T21 at the ZOZO Championship, T10 at the World Wide Technology Championship and T20 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Other noteworthy results achieved by Bhatia this season include placing T4 at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic (Korn Ferry Tour), T7 at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic (Korn Ferry Tour), 2nd at the Puerto Rico Open, T24 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, 4th at the Mexico Open, T9 at the Barbasol Championship and victory at the Barracuda Championship.
The 21-year-old American finished 45th on debut at the RSM Classic in 2022.
Bhatia has been playing well and offers excellent value at the Sea Island Golf Club this weekend.
Verdict
Cole has had three top-five places in four starts and will have a chance to win his maiden PGA Tour title this weekend.
Suh has been thereabouts lately and will fancy his chances to secure the title at the Sea Island Golf Club this weekend.
Bhatia has been holding form and is the long-shot value bet in Georgia.
