The PGA Tour returns after a three week hiatus with the Sanderson Farms Championship taking place this week, but who will emerge as the winner in Mississippi?
Kevin Yu returns to defend his title after a playoff victory over Beau Hossler in 2024.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Akshay Bhatia
Akshay Bhatia has been in solid form on the PGA Tour since the end of July, placing T25 at the 3M Open, W/D from the Wyndham Championship, T26 at the BMW Championship, T13 at the Tour Championship, and T11 at the Procore Championship.
Other notable results achieved by Bhatia this season include a T22 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T9 at the Genesis Invitational, a 9th at the Mexico Open, a T3 at the Players Championship, a T22 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, and a T16 at the Memorial Tournament.
The two-time PGA Tour winner missed the cut in 2019 before finishing T43 in 2023 at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Bhatia has posted solid results during the latter half of the year and can go all the way at the Country Club of Jackson this weekend.
Michael Thorbjornsen
Michael Thorbjornsen has been performing well on the PGA Tour lately, placing T4 at the Rocket Classic, T21 at the John Deere Classic, T14 at the ISCO Championship, MC at the 3M Open, T38 at the Wyndham Championship, and T13 at the Procore Championship.
Additional highlights achieved by Thorbjornsen this year include a T4 at the Corales Puntacana Championship and a T4 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The American golfer placed T8 at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship on debut.
Thorbjornsen has threatened to produce a top result lately and should enter calculations in Mississippi.

Rico Hoey
Rico Hoey has been in decent nick on the PGA Tour since the beginning of July, placing T11 at the John Deere Classic, T34 at the ISCO Championship, T8 at the Barracuda Championship, T57 at the 3M Open, T67 at the Wyndham Championship, and T9 at the Procore Championship
Other noteworthy results achieved by Hoey this year include a T11 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, a T12 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, and a T7 at the Myrtle Beach Classic.
The 30-year-old finished T68 at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship on debut.
Hoey has been in better shape lately and is the long-shot value bet in Mississippi this weekend.
