Los Angeles entered this series with Baltimore on a good run of form, having won seven of their last nine games.
The Dodgers rebounded from 5-4 and 6-5 defeats in Milwaukee by travelling to St Louis to beat the Cardinals, 7-6.
They then bounced back from a 5-2 defeat to the Cardinals with a 2-1 win that proved to be the start of a five-game streak.
Los Angeles headed back home for three games against Seattle, and they were able to sweep the Mariners thanks to 3-0, 6-3 and 8-4 victories.
The Dodgers then took their win streak to five games with a 7-3 win over Tampa Bay, before responding to a 9-8 loss to the Rays with a 3-1 victory.
