New York return home on the back of a much-needed victory that snapped a five-game losing skid.
The Yankees went into a recent six-game road trip on the back of a successful series that saw them sweep Tampa Bay with 7-5, 5-4 and 7-4 wins.
They failed to build on that victory on their travels though, as they lost five times during their time away from Yankee Stadium.
New York first headed to Miami, where they swept by the Marlins thanks to 13-12, 2-0 and 7-3 defeats.
The Yankees then moved on to Texas where they suffered 8-5 and 2-0 defeats at the hands of the Rangers, but they did at least wrap up that trip on a positive note with a 3-2 victory.

Houston have a major advantage when it comes to starting pitchers in tonight’s matchup.
