The Phillies started this sequence with back-to-back home wins over Arizona, 12-1 and 4-1, before heading to Detroit to beat the Tigers 8-1.
They rebounded from a 4-1 loss with a 6-2 victory to wrap up that series, but struggled to build on that victory when they returned home to host Miami.
Philadelphia split the series, rebounding from a 7-4 loss with a 2-0 win, before answering a 3-2 defeat to the Marlins with a 7-6 success.
The Phillies then followed up that victory with a couple more in Chicago, beating the Cubs 6-4 and 5-3 before losing the final meeting, 10-2.
Atlanta Braves Form
Atlanta come into this series on a poor run of form, having now tasted defeat in six of their last 10 games.
The Braves underwhelming run started in St Louis as they sandwiched a 6-2 victory with 4-3 and 4-1 defeats to the Cardinals.
They then visited Chicago for a one-off meeting with the White Sox, and suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat in the ‘Windy City’.
Atlanta bounced back when they returned home to face Pittsburgh, beating the Pirates 6-1 and 2-1 before dropping the final meeting 4-2.
The Braves then faced San Francisco in a three-game series and sandwiched a 3-1 win over the Giants with 5-3 and 4-2 defeats.
Verdict
Philadelphia continue to pick up wins and they have done a good job on the road this season, so we are backing the Phillies here.
