They bounced back at the first attempt though, winning the second meeting with Padres, 8-3.

San Francisco then followed that up with a 9-6 victory in the third meeting, but they were forced to settle for splitting the series as they dropped the final game, 13-4.

The Giants then failed to bounce back from that defeat in the first game of this series in Los Angeles, losing 8-3.

Los Angeles head into the second game of this series having won five of their first seven games this season.

The Dodgers opened with a road game against San Diego, and were able to take down the Padres, 5-2.

They failed to follow that up as they returned home to lose a second meeting with the Padres, 15-11, but they quickly bounced back to take the first two games against St Louis, 7-1 and 6-3.

Los Angeles missed out on a series sweep as they lost the third meeting with the Blues 6-5, although they did rebound to take the final one, 5-4.

The Dodgers then followed that up in the first game of this series with San Francisco, winning 8-3 last night.

Los Angeles are off to a solid start and have home advantage for this one, so we expect the Dodgers to make it back-to-back wins over San Francisco.
