Holly Holm is a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion with a professional record of 15-6 (8 KOs).
The former boxing world champion enjoyed the biggest win of her MMA career in November 2015 when she ruthlessly knocked out Ronda Rousey to win the UFC title.
Holm failed to make a successful defence though, tapping out to Miesha Tate in her first defence.
‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ was comfortably winning on the scorecards prior to the finish, and she has struggled for consistency ever since then.
She lost her next fight against Valentina Shevchenko by unanimous decision, and then lost on points to Germaine de Randamie in a fight to crown the inaugural women’s featherweight champion.
Holm finally ended her drought when she knocked out Bethe Correia in the third round, only to then lose to Cris Cyborg via decision in a featherweight title fight.
The 41-year-old rebounded in her next fight to beat Megan Anderson by decision, only to then get knocked out in the first round when she challenged bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
Holm again bounced back quickly, beating Raquel Pennington by unanimous decision.
She then backed that up with a decision success against Irene Aldana, ending a five-year run in which she failed to string together two wins.
Holm failed to make it three-in-a-row as she lost to Ketlen Vieira last year, but she did return to winning ways in March when she bested Yana Santos over three rounds.
Mayra Bueno Silva Form
Mayra Bueno Silva is the #10 contender in the women’s bantamweight division with a record of 10-2-1 (1 KO, 7 Subs).
Silva debuted in the UFC in September 2018, having made a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series.
She won her debut fight, submitting Gillian Robertson in the first round of their fight.
‘Sheetara’ failed to follow it up as she dropped a decision to Maryna Moroz, but she did bounce back quickly with a first round submission of Mara Romero Borella.
Silva went to a majority draw with Montana De La Rose in her next outing, and then lost a unanimous decision to Manon Fiorot.
The 31-year-old Brazilian has not lost since though, reeling off three consecutive wins to climb into the top 10.
She beat Wu Yana by unanimous decision in April 2022, and later that year she submitted Stephanie Egger in the first round.
In her first outing of 2023, Silva extended her win streak to three fights with a second-round submission win against Lina Lansberg.
