Walker first debuted in the UFC in 2018 following a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, and got off to a flying start.

His final outing that year ended in a No Contest after he was rendered unable to continue after an illegal knee by Magomed Ankalaev.
2024 then proved to be a disappointing year for Walker as he suffered back-to-back KO defeats, losing to Ankalev in their rematch as well as falling to Volkan Oezdemir.

Zhang earned his place in the UFC by knocking out Tuko Tokkos in the first round of their Road To UFC fight.
He then wasted little time in making a splash last year, as he quickly surged into the light-heavyweight rankings with three consecutive first-round knockout wins.
The 26-year-old Chinese fighter marked his debut with a 101-second knockout of Brendson Ribeiro.
Zhang then backed that up with a 145-second stoppage of Ozzy Diaz, before recording his biggest win to date as he knocked out Anthony Smith with 57 seconds left in the opening round.
