Roman Dolidze vs Anthony Hernandez Preview & Picks

Anthony Hernandez is tipped to score a decision victory over Roman Dolidze.

Hernandez is a cardio machine with great wrestling, so we expect him to grapple, smother and frustrate Dolidze for five rounds.

  • Anthony Hernandez is on a 7-fight win streak
  • All 3 of Roman Dolidze’s career defeats have been by decision
  • 4 of Roman Dolidze’s last 5 fights have gone the distance

Roman Dolidze Form

Roman Dolidze is the number eight ranked middleweight contender with a professional record of 15-3 (8 KOs, 3 Subs).

Dolidze made his UFC debut in 2020 and made a successful start in the light-heavyweight division, knocking out Khadis Ibragimov and out-pointing John Allan.

He moved down to middleweight after that and endured a rough debut as he dropped a decision to Trevin Giles.

The 37-year-old Georgian recovered quickly with a points win over Laureano Staropoli, and backed that up by knocking out Kyle Daukaus, Phil Hawes and Jack Hermansson in 2022.

Dolidze’s rise was halted by a points loss to Marvin Vettori, and he then dropped a decision to Nassourdine Imavov.

He has not lost since though, sparking a three-fight win streak with a decision victory over Anthony Smith.

Dolidze then ended 2024 with a first-round knockout of Kevin Holland, before beginning his 2025 campaign with a points win over Marvin Vettori.

Anthony Hernandez Form

Anthony Hernandez is the number nine ranked middleweight contender with a career record of 14-2 (3 KOs, 8 Subs) with 1 No Contest.

Hernandez joined the UFC in 2019 but got off to a rough start as he lost two of his first three fights.

He rallied though, and kick-started a seven-fight win streak with a second-round submission win over Rodolfo Vieira.

The 31-year-old Californian then backed that up with a decision win over Josh Fremd, before submitting Marc-Andre Barriault in the third round.

Hernandez kept the stoppage wins coming in his sole outing of 2023, knocking out Edmen Shahbazyan in the third round, and he stayed on a roll in 2024 too.

‘Fluffy’ began the year with a second-round stoppage win over Roman Kopylov, before knocking out Michel Pereira in the fifth and final round.

He then opened 2025 with a unanimous decision win over Brendan Allen back in February.

Verdict

Anthony Hernandez has found the blueprint to success – cardio wrestling.

He has done a great job of wearing out his opponents over the past few years, but Dolidze is a hard man to stop so the judges may be required.
