The Mavericks opened up by winning four of their first six games, but last week proved to be a rough one for them.

They failed to build on the 108-85 blowout of Orlando as they suffered a 134-127 defeat when they hosted Indiana.

Dallas rebounded to roll over Chicago, 119-99, but they again failed to follow up a win as they lost their next two games.

The Mavericks were beaten 114-113 at home by Phoenix, before heading to Denver for a 122-120 defeat to the Nuggets.

Golden State enter this matchup having rebounded from their second defeat of the season to improve to 8-2.

The Warriors won their first two games before falling to the LA Clippers, but their response was a strong one.

They won back-to-back home meetings with New Orleans, 124-106 and 104-89, to spark a five-game win streak.

Golden State then went out on the road to win 127-121 in overtime in Washington, before heading to Boston to beat the Celtics 118-112.

The Warriors’ win streak was ended by a 136-117 loss in Cleveland, but they rebounded immediately to win 127-116 at Oklahoma City.

Golden State are the team in better form, and they will be fired up for their first home game this month.
