Dallas Mavericks Form
Dallas have found some consistency after a dip in November to keep themselves in the top half of the Western Conference standings.
The Mavericks raced out of the blocks as they won each of their first four games of the season and eight of the first 10.
Like several other teams, the second half of November proved to be a tricky time for them as their form cooled off.
Dallas stacked up a bunch of losses and also exited the In-Season Tournament at the group stage.
The Mavericks have steadied the ship in December though, with a four-game win streak earlier this month seemingly getting them back on track despite a couple of recent defeats.
Phoenix Suns Form
Phoenix have struggled for consistency for much of the first few months of the regular season.
The Suns struggled early as they lost six of their first 10 games, but they found some form in the second half of November.
They went on a season-best six-game win streak between November 15 and 26, only for their form to again cool off over their past few weeks.
Phoenix’s streak was ended by a 112-105 defeat in Toronto, and a week later they were eliminated from the In-Season Tournament by a 106-103 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Suns did knock off Golden State a couple of days later, 119-116, but they have found wins hard to come by since then.
Verdict
Phoenix have had their issues during the first few months, with injuries being a contributing factor.
They do have Devin Booker and Kevin Durant healthy though, and they also have a healthy knack for beating Dallas during the regular season, so we are riding with the Suns.
