The Rockets failed to back up a 123-118 win at Washington as they lost 115-113 in overtime to Golden State, and they then followed up a 106-99 victory over Portland with a 145-120 defeat at San Antonio.
They bounced back with a 113-99 win against Toronto, only to lose 129-93 in Denver, and then responded with a 107-105 success at home to New Orleans.
Houston again failed to string together wins though, losing back-to-back home games against the Los Angeles Lakers, 100-92 and 124-116.
The Rockets did respond by finally stringing together wins, beating Atlanta 117-95 and Miami 123-122, only to then lose 132-124 in Chicago last time out.
Minnesota Timberwolves Form
Minnesota enter this matchup in improved form, having won four of their last six games to take their March win tally to seven games.
The Timberwolves entered the month on the back of a couple of wins, and took their streak to five games by beating Denver 117-108, Memphis 117-110 and Toronto 115-107.
That run was ended by a 119-92 home loss to Orlando, and they then dropped back-to-back games in Los Angeles as they fell 120-106 to the Lakers and 153-128 to the Clippers.
Minnesota avoided a third straight loss by beating Golden State 127-117, and then answered a 116-113 loss at Oklahoma City with wins over Phoenix, 116-104, and Utah, 147-111.
The Timberwolves were unable to make it three-in-a-row, losing 108-104 to Portland, only to bounce back on Sunday as they downed Boston on the road, 102-92.
Verdict
Minnesota enter this matchup on the back of a big road win, but the absence of Edwards is a blow for them and they could be without the man who starts in his place.
