The Lakers scraped into the postseason with a 108-102 overtime victory over Minnesota in the Play-In Tournament.
They made a big splash in the first round though, taking down Memphis with a 4-2 series win to set up a conference semi-final showdown with Golden State.
Los Angeles then went six games with the Warriors, clinching a place in the conference finals with a 122-101 victory.
The Lakers’ run was brought to an abrupt halt there though, as they were swept in four games by Denver.

Denver come into the 2023/24 season looking to win back-to-back NBA championships.
The Nuggets set the standard last year as they compiled a conference-best 53-29 record to clinch home court advantage for the playoffs.
They made straightforward work of Minnesota with a 4-1 series win, and then bounced back from a couple of road defeats as they beat Phoenix 4-2.
That set up a conference final clash with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver rolled over LeBron James & Co. with a 4-0 series sweep.
The Nuggets then claimed the NBA Championship as they rebounded from a Game 2 defeat, winning three consecutive games to beat Miami 4-1.
Verdict
Denver were a dominant force at home last season and there is no reason for that to change.
