They started a three-game skid with a 120-101 defeat in Orlando, before losing 108-107 in Miami and 128-94 at Houston.
Los Angeles turned things around in their tournament opener, winning 122-119 in Phoenix, and they backed that up with a 116-110 home win against Portland.
The Lakers then improved to 2-0 in the tournament with a 134-107 blowout of Memphis, but failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 125-110 at home to Sacramento on Wednesday.

Portland come into this matchup in need of a win, having lost each of their last five games to fall to 3-7.
The Trail Blazers opened the season with a three-game losing skid, but they were able to get back to .500 in early November.
