Minnesota enter this matchup looking to snap a three-game losing skid that has cooled them off in recent days.
The Timberwolves went into the All-Star break on the back of a couple of victories, and then enjoyed a winning return to action as they downed Dallas 122-111.
They failed to make it four-in-a-row as they fell 135-108 to Philadelphia, but they answered that with three straight road wins, beating Portland 124-121, LA Clippers 94-88 and Denver 117-108.
Minnesota then took their win streak to five games as they won back-to-back outings at home, 11711-0 against Memphis and 115-107 against Toronto.
The Timberwolves have not won since though, following up a 119-92 home defeat to Orlando with road defeats to the Los Angeles Lakers, 120-106, and the LA Clippers, 153-128.
Golden State Warriors Form
Golden State also come into this Western Conference clash looking to end a three-game losing sequence.
The Warriors lost either side of the All-Star break, and then struggled for consistency over the next few games as they sandwiched a 113-109 loss to New Orleans with a 128-117 win against Denver and a 133-112 success at Memphis.
They dropped back-to-back home games against the two Los Angeles teams, falling 129-101 to the Lakers and 114-101 to the Clippers.
Golden State then rallied to beat Houston in overtime on the road, 115-113, but failed to follow that up on the road as they were beaten 104-97 at Oklahoma City and 119-116 in Utah.
The Warriors’ losing skid then reached three games on Tuesday as they were beaten at home by Chicago, 130-124 in overtime.
Verdict
Minnesota arrive in rough shape, but they are the more appealing pick heading into this one.
The Timberwolves have largely dominated the Warriors over the past couple of seasons and they can take advantage of an injury-ravaged Golden State group tonight.
