The Magic have been inconsistent recently, but they are the team in better form and they could receive a major boost in the form of Franz Wagner’s return from injury.

Orlando head to Germany on an inconsistent run of form, having won seven of their last 13 games.
The Magic’s lack of consistency began just before Christmas as they snapped a two-game skid with a 128-127 win over Utah, only to then fall 120-97 at Golden State.
They then failed to back up a 110-106 victory in Portland, losing 120-105 at home to Charlotte, and were then unable to follow up a 127-126 win over Denver as they lost 107-106 in Toronto.
Orlando again rebounded quickly to a loss, winning 112-110 at Indiana, and then answered a 121-114 defeat in Chicago with another win over the Pacers, taking wit 135-127 at home.
The Magic then split a two-game road trip, losing 120-112 at Washington and winning 104-103 in Brooklyn, before returning home to lose 103-92 to Philadelphia and beat New Orleans 128-118.
Memphis Grizzlies Form
Memphis travelled to Germany on the back of a win, but having lost six of their previous eight games.
The Grizzlies picked up back-to-back victories over Christmas, winning 137-128 in Utah before returning home to down Milwaukee 125-104.
Their form nose-dived after that though as they lost four straight games, starting with a 116-112 defeat in Washington and a 139-136 overtime loss at home to Philadelphia.
Memphis then dropped back-to-back games at the Los Angeles Lakers, 128-121 and 120-114, before briefly stopping the rot with a 106-105 win at home to San Antonio.
The Grizzlies failed to follow that up as they lost 117-98 to Phoenix and 117-116 to Oklahoma City, but they did avoid a third straight loss as they beat Brooklyn 103-98.
Verdict
Memphis swept Orlando last season, but the Magic can get their revenge in 2026.
They are in better form despite their recent inconsistency, and they could have both Wagners playing in their homeland, so we are siding with the Magic in Berlin.
