They found some consistency after a 140-129 defeat in Milwaukee though, reeling off three consecutive victories.
Phoenix started that run at home as they beat Philadelphia 115-102 and Atlanta 128-115, and continued when they won 131-106 in San Antonio.
The Suns were unable to make it four wins in a row though, as they were beaten by the Spurs in the second half of their double-header, 104-102.
Denver Nuggets Form
Denver come into this matchup in great form, having won nine of their last 10 games and each of the last four.
The Nuggets were beaten 117-107 in overtime by Phoenix on March 5, but they responded to that loss with a run of five consecutive wins.
They began that sequence at home as they beat Boston 115-109, Utah 142-121 and Toronto 125-119, and continued on the road as they beat Miami 100-88 and San Antonio 117-106.
Denver’s win streak was halted by a 107-105 defeat in Dallas, but they responded immediately by beating Minnesota 114-112.
The Nuggets then followed that up with three more wins, beating New York 113-100, Portland 114-111 and Memphis 128-103.
