The Avalanche then lost 5-2 in Boston, but they have rebounded in strong fashion, following up a 7-4 win in Philadelphia with home victories over Washington, 6-2, and Los Angeles, 5-1.

New York enter this matchup on the back of a win, but they went into the All-Star break in underwhelming form.
The Rangers have now lost eight of their last 12 games – a sequence that started with a four-game losing skid.

New York failed to keep that run going though, as they went out on the road to lose 5-1 in Vegas and 2-1 in Los Angeles.
