Florida go into this series having made light work of their first-round meeting with Tampa Bay, winning in five games.
The Panthers, who went 47-314 in the regular season, opened that series with back-to-back road games and quickly took command.
The defending champions won both meetings with the Lightning at the Amalie Arena, 6-2 and 2-0.
Florida then fell to a surprise 5-1 defeat when they returned home for Game 3, but their response to that loss was emphatic.
The Panthers rebounded with a 4-2 victory, and then went back out on the road to clinch the series with Tampa, winning 6-3.

Toronto enter this series having almost blown a three-game lead before finally seeing off Ottawa in the first round.
The Maple Leafs, who went 52-26-4 in the regular season, came into the playoffs with some demons to exorcise, and they looked like doing that as they raced out to a big lead.
They opened the series with back-to-back home wins, 6-2 regulation and 3-2 in overtime, and then went out on the road to down Ottawa 3-2 in overtime.
That gave Toronto the chance to sweep the Senators, but they instead lost 4-3 in overtime.
The Maple Leafs were then beaten 4-0 at home by Ottawa, only to finally complete the job on the road as they won 4-2.
Verdict
Florida rolled over Tampa in the first round, while Toronto again showed some postseason jitters before finally seeing off Ottawa.
The Panthers have won four of the last five meetings with the Maple Leafs too, including a regular season success at Scotiabank Arena, so we are taking the visitors in Game 1.
