The Wild began March with back-to-back victories, but cooled off over the next couple of weeks as they lost four times in five games.
They were beaten 3-1 in Vancouver and 3-1 at home to Pittsburgh, before rallying with a shootout success against Colorado.
Minnesota failed to follow that up as they lost 3-2 in overtime to the New York Rangers and 5-1 at home to St Louis, but they did get back on track last week.
The Wild won three straight games at home, downing Los Angeles 3-1, Seattle 4-0 and Buffalo 4-1.
Dallas Stars Form
Dallas enter this game on the back of a victory but having struggled for form over the past couple of weeks with four defeats in their last seven games.
The Stars enjoyed a four-game winning run between late February and early March, which was ended by a 5-4 loss in Edmonton.
They rebounded to win 4-1 in Vancouver, only to then lose the final two games of that road trip as they fell 4-1 to Winnipeg and 4-3 to Colorado in overtime.
Dallas returned home to beat Anaheim 4-3 in overtime, only to then lose a shootout when they hosted Tampa Bay.
The Stars hit back immediately though, downing Philadelphia 3-2 in overtime on Saturday afternoon.

Dallas’ recent record against Minnesota is strong, but it is the Wild who are in better form.
