The USA exited the tournament at the semi-final stage a year ago, but got a measure of revenge for that loss in the tournament opener.

The United States followed that up with a 7-1 blowout of Hungary, and then downed Germany 3-2 in a closely-contested matchup.

Denmark come into this game on the back of their first defeat of the World Championship, but on course to make the knockout stage.
The Danes opened the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Hungary, and then followed that up by edging France 4-3 in overtime.
They then routed Austria 6-2 to make it three-in-a-row, but they were unable to extend their win streak to four games.
Denmark fell to a 6-4 defeat when they took on Germany on Thursday night, leaving them 3-1.
