There the beat the Czech Republic 3-0 to advance, but the Americans crashed out in the semi-finals as they lost 4-3 in overtime to Germany.

Latvia have won six of their nine games, with their third defeat ending their hopes of winning the tournament.
The Latvians made a miserable start as they were shutout in a 6-0 loss to Latvia, before losing 2-1 to Slovakia.
They got hot after that though, following up a 4-3 overtime victory against the Czech Republic with a 2-1 win over Norway, a 3-2 success against Slovenia and a 7-0 demolition of Kazakhstan.
Latvia then pulled off their biggest win of the group stage in their finale outing, upsetting Switzerland 4-3 in overtime.
They followed that up with a 3-1 win against Sweden in the quarter-finals, but their campaign came to an end in the semi-finals as they were again beaten by Canada, this time 4-2.
Verdict
The United States could come into this with a hangover from a semi-final upset defeat.
