Champions League Predictions & Tips - Round of Sixteen Preview
After an action-packed week that saw 30 goals scored across eight Round of 16 ties, a fascinating set of second-leg fixtures awaits in the Champions League this week.
Manchester City vs Real Madrid
Manchester City return to the Etihad with a mountain to climb following a dismal 3-0 defeat in Madrid last week. The Citizens were second best in Spain as Fede Valverde stole the show with a sublime hat-trick at the Bernabeu.
While they are unlikely to turn the tie around, I expect Pep Guardiola's side to show plenty of heart and claim an ultimately fruitless second-leg win. Real have already lost twice on their European travels this season and, with a three-goal advantage, may be content to settle for a narrow defeat in Manchester.
Prediction: 3-2
Best Bet: Man City to Win
Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain
Chasing a three-goal deficit after a late collapse in Paris, Chelsea will need a huge performance to overturn their three-goal deficit against PSG on Tuesday.
With little to lose, I expect the Blues to get on the front foot, but gaps at the back are likely to appear in another high-scoring encounter in London.
BTTS and over 2.5 goals looks a likely outcome at the Bridge.
Prediction: 2-2

Barcelona vs Newcastle
Newcastle face a daunting test of their Champions League credentials with the Magpies all square heading into the second leg against Barcelona.
Eddie Howe's side showed plenty of quality in the first leg and will be confident of scoring against a still-flaky Barcelona rearguard.
With all to play for, I expect goals at both ends, with the Catalans' attacking quality likely to win the day at Camp Nou.
Prediction: 3-1

Liverpool vs Galatasaray
Liverpool look to overturn a one-goal deficit when they face Galatasaray at Anfield this week. The Reds struggled in last week's 1-0 defeat in Istanbul, while their display against Tottenham on Sunday suggested this is a side lacking confidence, penetration and quality in front of goal.
While Gala often struggle on their travels, I fancy the Turks to hold on to their advantage and secure the scalp of the Premier League champions.
Prediction: 1-1
Best Bet: Galatasaray to Qualify
Best of the Rest
On Tuesday, Bodo/Glimt look set to continue their remarkable Champions League run with a three-goal cushion ahead of their second leg in Lisbon against Sporting.
The Norwegians have been the revelation of the competition and should get the job done in Portugal, with a second-leg victory not to be discounted.
Later in the evening, home advantage could prove decisive as Arsenal host Bayer Leverkusen after a 1-1 draw in Germany last week. While far from their best in Sunday's win against Everton, the Gunners usually get the job done at the Emirates.
Bayern Munich and Atalanta meet for what is effectively a second-leg dead rubber, with the Germans five goals up following a 6-1 drubbing in Bergamo. Another comfortable Bavarian win seems likely, with the Italians unlikely to offer much resistance in Munich.
The final tie of the evening sees Tottenham host Atletico Madrid with the out-of-form hosts three goals down after a 5-2 mauling in Madrid. With Premier League survival the priority, Spurs are unlikely to pour too much energy into what looks like an insurmountable task in London.
BTTS again looks likely, with the Spaniards' counter-attacking quality likely to prove too much for the vulnerable home side.
