They turned their attention to the Leagues Cup after that loss and won three straight games in that competition, beating Atlas 2-1, Necaxa 5-4 and Pumas UNAM 3-1.
Inter returned to domestic duty after that and suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Orlando, but they did rebound in their next outing to beat LA Galaxy 3-1.
Miami then advanced to the semi-finals of the Leagues Cup by beating Tigres 2-1 on Wednesday night.
