Premier League Previews - February 27th-March 1st

Liverpool vs West Ham

An intriguing contest is expected at Anfield as in-form West Ham look to maintain their remarkable resurgence against champions Liverpool.

Recent form and past encounters suggest goals at both ends. BTTS has landed in each of the last four meetings between these sides at Anfield, while Liverpool have seen both teams score in five of their last six domestic home fixtures.

Best Bet: BTTS

Newcastle vs Everton

Everton will fancy their chances of picking up a positive result when they take on Newcastle at St James's Park. The Toffees have impressed on their travels, remaining unbeaten in eight of nine previous away Premier League games.

With the Magpies slipping up in their last two home PL fixtures, and potentially fatigued from European exertions, I fancy the visitors to emerge with a point or more.

Best Bet: Everton Double Chance

Fulham vs Tottenham

A crucial contest takes place at the Cottage on Sunday as Tottenham look to move further away from relegation trouble.

Goals at both ends should be expected with both teams seeing plenty of high-scoring outcomes in recent weeks. Fulham have seen both teams score in five of their last six games, while the same outcome occurred in all but one of Tottenham's last nine domestic fixtures.

Best Bet: BTTS

Man United vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United should be expected to maintain their recent revival under Michael Carrick when they host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Manchester United have won five of six matches under the interim boss, scoring at least twice in four of those victories. They should prove too strong for an Eagles side struggling to find form under outgoing manager Oliver Glasner.

Best Bet: Man Utd and over 1.5 goals

Best of the Rest

Premier League action gets underway on Friday evening as Aston Villa continue their pursuit of Champions League qualification in the West Midlands derby against Championship-bound Wolves.

An often tight affair, the Villains should edge to victory in a likely low-scoring win at Molineux.

On Saturday, Bournemouth hosts Sunderland in the early kick-off, with the Cherries likely to take advantage of the Black Cats' poor road record. Sunderland scored just six goals on their travels this season, and with the Cherries unbeaten in six, a home win could be on the cards.

Elsewhere, Brentford head to Turf Moor to take on Burnley as they look to bounce back from a disappointing home defeat against Brighton. A narrow away win may prove the best bet with the Clarets increasingly detached near the foot of the division.

Later in the day, Man City continue their pursuit of Premier League title glory against Leeds at Elland Road in a fixture that looks likely to deliver in the goal markets.

Brighton look to back up their win at Brentford when they host a Nottingham Forest side that often struggles after their midweek European home exertions. A home win seems likely at the AMEX.

Finally, on Sunday, the biggest game of the weekend sees Arsenal host Chelsea in the second London derby of the weekend. With the hosts beginning to feel the pressure at the top of the table, the Blues should bring up a BTTS pick in what could prove a pivotal fixture in the destination of the Premier League title.
