Tampa Bay failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 8-5 in Columbus, but they again reacted strong to a loss, reeling off five consecutive victories at home.
The Lightning beat Utah 2-0, Winnipeg 4-1, Boston 6-5, Buffalo 4-3 in overtime, Florida 6-1 and Toronto 4-2.

Carolina enter this matchup on a strong run of form themselves, having now won eight of their last 10 games.

The Hurricanes beat Los Angeles 3-2 in overtime and Ottawa 4-3 in regulation at home, before heading to New York to down the Rangers, 2-0.
