Andrey Rublev has been just as inconsistent as Stefanos Tsitsipas in recent times, but Doha is one venue where he tends to raise his level. His track record here is excellent and he regularly produces some of his best tennis on these courts.
With that strong history to lean on, there is enough evidence to side with Rublev at an appealing price in this matchup.

Confidence Boost For Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas picked up a huge confidence-boosting win in the previous round, taking down former champion Daniil Medvedev.
It was a significant result not just for the tournament, but psychologically as well, given Medvedev has been one of the opponents who has consistently troubled him over the years.
The victory also marked the first time Tsitsipas has won back-to-back main-tour matches since April 2025. After a long stretch without sustained success, putting together consecutive wins again should give him renewed confidence heading into this quarterfinal.
Tsitsipas will now look to build on that momentum and push deeper into the event. Another win here would secure his first semifinal appearance on the main tour since 2024.

Rublev Thriving In Doha Again
Andrey Rublev has a habit of elevating his level in Doha, and this year has been no different. He has looked sharp through the opening rounds, comfortably dispatching his first two opponents while conceding very few games overall.
This marks Rublev’s seventh quarterfinal appearance in Doha from just eight visits, underlining his remarkable consistency at this event. He owns a strong 4–2 record at this stage and has reached three finals here in total, converting two of them into titles.
It is also his second quarterfinal of the season, following a solid run in Hong Kong last month, where he defeated Nuno Borges in the quarterfinals before losing to Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals.

Verdict
Given Rublev’s elite record in Doha and the comfort he clearly feels at this venue, there is plenty to like about his chances in this matchup. Against an opponent who is still searching for consistent form and confidence, Rublev’s proven level here becomes a major factor.
