Tommy Paul looks to have rediscovered his trademark consistency this week, playing with the solid, reliable level that has brought him success on hard courts in the past. At near-equal odds, Paul gets the stronger backing from me here.

Delray Beach Credentials

  • Tommy Paul finished runner-up in Delray Beach last year.
  • Four of Paul’s last six matches have gone to three sets.
  • Sebastian Korda is also a former runner-up in Delray Beach.

Paul Back in Form

Tommy Paul has looked below his best in recent months, with confidence and fitness both fluctuating, but this week in Delray Beach he appears to have rediscovered his usual solid level.

He has been tested throughout the week and responded well, highlighted by a quarterfinal win over top seed Taylor Fritz and another tough semifinal victory over Learner Tien.

Paul finished runner-up in Delray Beach last year and will be keen to avoid back-to-back final defeats here.

Across his career, he has reached seven tour-level finals and won four of them, with one of those wins coming at home in Dallas.

Korda’s Delray Revival

Sebastian Korda looked short of form and fitness earlier this season and even struggled at a Challenger event last month, but he has turned things around impressively this week.

He has played his way into the final while dropping just one set, collecting strong wins over the likes of Casper Ruud and Flavio Cobolli.

Delray Beach is also where Korda made his tour-level breakthrough, reaching the final on debut in 2021 while ranked outside the top 100 before losing to Hubert Hurkacz.

Korda has shown vulnerability in big matches and holds a 2–8 record in tour-level finals. Converting deep runs into titles has been a recurring challenge so far.

Verdict

Tommy Paul’s return to form this week, combined with Sebastian Korda’s history of struggling to close out big matches, makes Paul the clear value side in this final. With near-equal odds on offer, the steadier and more reliable competitor gets the confident backing here.
