Jermell Charlo’s WBC light-middleweight title reign came to a sudden halt in December 2018.
Charlo put in a lacklustre display as he dropped the title via unanimous decision in his first career loss.
His response has been emphatic though, starting with a third-round knockout of Jorge Cota.
Charlo avenged his loss to Harrison by knocking him out in the 11th round of their rematch in December 2019.
He then unified the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and Ring Magazine titles with an eighth-round knockout of Jeison Rosario.
This three-fight win streak has taken Charlo’s professional record to 34-1, with 18 wins coming via stoppage.
Brian Castano Form
Brian Castano is yet to taste defeat in his professional career and has gone 5-0-1 since winning the interim WBA light-middleweight title in November 2016.
Castano stopped Emmanuel de Jesus in the sixth round on that night.
He then retained the interim belt with a split decision win over Michel Soro before he was upgraded to WBA (Regular) champion.
Castano stopped Cedric Vitu and then went to a split decision draw with Erislandy Lara.
He bounced back from the draw when Wale Omotoso retired after the fifth round of their fight, and he then clinched his first major world title in February.
Castano bested Patrick Teixeira over 12 rounds to claim the WBO light-middleweight belt and take his career to 18-0-1, with 12 wins coming via stoppage.
