Oscar De La Hoya Form

Form is kind of redundant given that this is Oscar De La Hoya’s first fight for 13 years.

However, it must be noted how his professional boxing career came to a close with four defeats in his final seven fights.

De La Hoya’s worst run of his career began with a unanimous decision defeat to Shane Mosley in 2003.

He bounced back by besting Felix Sturm over 12 rounds, but was knocked out by Bernard Hopkins in his next fight.

A TKO win over Ricardo Mayorga set up a huge fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2007 – a fight he lost via split decision.

A year later De La Hoya registered the final win of his career – a decision success against Steve Forbes – before being stopped by Manny Pacquiao.

‘The Golden Boy’ retired with a 39-6 record that saw him win by KO 30 times. Of his six losses, he was knocked out twice.

Since stepping away from the ring De La Hoya has publicly admitted to substance abuse issues and his wellbeing was questioned after an appearance at a Triller card earlier this year.
