What Is The CFL Bet of the Day?

If you are only going to place one bet on the Canadian Football League today it may as well be the best one. Right?

That is where Expert Picks comes into the picture with our CFL Bet of the Day. On a where there is a CFL game taking place, our expert football tipsters will look over the betting markets to pick out the bet we believe has the best chance of being a winner.

How Do We Pick Our CFL Bet of the Day?

Our football tipsters have decades’ worth of knowledge when it comes to the Canadian Football League. We also have decades of experience in the world of sports betting.

That means we are in a position to find real value when looking for the best place to bet on the CFL on any day where a game is scheduled.

What CFL Betting Markets Are There?

The main CFL betting markets that are available for every game in the Canadian Football League are Moneyline, spread and over / under total points.

Money Line - The money line is betting on which team will win the game. Ties are rare in the CFL, with teams going to overtime if the score is tied at the end of regulation. As a result the moneyline is a two-way market in which you bet on one team to win, and it includes overtime.

Spread - The spread market is more also known as a handicap. Bookmakers will assign one team a positive (+) or negative (-) spread, line or handicap depending on favoritism for the game, and the bettor bets to cover the line.

Let’s use a CFL game between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Ottawa Redblacks as an example. If the Redblacks start with a +7.5 point spread and you bet on the Redblacks in this market, they need to win the game or lose by less than 8 points in order for your bet to win.

On the other side of the coin, the Tiger-Cats would be assigned a -7.5 point spread meaning they would need to win by 8 or more points in order for your bet on Hamilton to be a winner.

Over / Under Total Points - This CFL betting market allows bettors to bet on the total amount of points scored in a game by both teams. The sportsbook will set a line, let’s say 50.5 points and you can bet on the total points scored by both teams going over or under that total.
