Alexander Volkanovski has never lost a fight under the UFC banner and is riding a 21-fight win streak.

The 33-year-old Australian debuted in the UFC back in November 16 and after five straight wins he was put in the Octagon with some big names.

He registered the biggest win of his career to date when he knocked out Chad Mendes in the second round at UFC 232.

Volkanovski then topped that success when he earned a decision win over featherweight legend Jose Aldo at UFC 237.

The pair fight again several months later and although the result was not as convincing, he did out-strike Holloway to earn the nod from two out of the three judges.

Volkanovski then beat Brian Ortega over five rounds before successfully defending his title for the third time in his first outing of 2022.

The featherweight champion knocked out ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung in the fourth round to take his record to 24-1.

Max Holloway is looking to be regain the featherweight title by beating Alexander Volkanovski at the third attempt.

‘Blessed’ established himself as one of the division’s best fighters when he rebounded from a loss to Conor McGregor in August 2013, winning nine consecutive fights.

The 30-year-old Hawaiian won the interim featherweight title in December 2016 when he stopped Anthony Pettis in the third round.

Holloway that became undisputed champion by knocking out Jose Aldo in the third round in June 17.

Proving the victory was no fluke, ‘Blessed’ then successfully defended his title by again knocking out Aldo in the third round in their rematch.

He then brutalised Brian Ortega for four rounds to successfully defend his belt for a second time.

Holloway then came up short in his bid to become a two-weight champion, dropping a decision to Dustin Poirier at lightweight, but a return to featherweight brought a return to winning ways.

He was able to successfully defend the title for a third time by claiming a decision win over Frankie Edgar.

However, that would prove to be his final successful defence as he dropped the belt to Alexander Volkanovski in December 2019.

Several months later he lost the , but he has since rebounded withdecision wins over Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodriguez in 2021 to improve to 23-6.
