Florida at Kentucky Picks & Betting Tips

Florida can capitalise on turnover prone Kentucky to cover and improve to 4-1.

The Wildcats have one of the worst turnover margins in the entire nation after four games.

If they are not going to take good care of the football, there is very little chance of an upset here.

The Gators can control the clock with the dominant run game and seal it with a turnover or two.

  • Florida have a 3-1 record
  • Florida have covered in their last 2 games
  • Florida rank #1 in the nation for yards per rush (7.46)
  • Florida rank #3 in the nation in rushing yards per game (322.5)
  • Florida rank #3 in the nation in total rushing yards (1,290)
  • Kentucky have a -9 turnover margin

Head To Head

  • Florida lead the all-time series 53-18-0
  • Florida lead 34-10 when these two teams met last season
  • Florida have lost just one of the last 39 meetings

Florida Form

Florida have climbed into the top 10 in the rankings thanks to a 3-1 start to the season.

They made straightforward work of FAU in a 35-14 win before cruising past South Florida 42-20.

They dug themselves a huge hole a week later as they gave up 21 first-quarter points to #1 Alabama.

The Gators fought back though and were a failed two-point conversion away from potentially forcing overtime in a 31-29 loss.

They made a return to winning ways a week later, soundly beating Tennessee 38-14.

QB Emory Jones has struggled in the passing game, going 69/103 for 667 yards, five touchdowns and five picks.

He has been a huge threat on the ground though, rushing for 375 yards and two scores.

This Florida offense is built on the run game with three players over 250 yards on the ground. Malik Davis has 259 yards and three scores, with Anthony Richardson on 275 yards and two scores.

Dameon Pierce is knocking on the door to the 200-yard mark. He does lead the team with five TDs.

Kentucky Form

Kentucky have made a perfect start to the season with four consecutive wins.

They eased past Louisiana-Monroe 45-10 before earning a 35-28 win over Missouri in their next outing.

The Wildcats then fended off a second half fightback from Chattanooga to win 28-13 before holding on for a 16-10 win over South Carolina.

QB Will Levis has gone 66/101 for 902 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions so far.

Wan’Dale Robinson has been the main beneficiary with 402 receiving yards and a couple of scores. He also has 78 yards rushing.

The star turn on the offense is running back Christopher Rodriguez Jr. He has 541 yards from scrimmage as well as five TDs.

But if there is one major Achilles heel that Kentucky has it is ball protection. Their turnover margin is minus-nine.
