Ole Miss Form

Ole Miss return from a weekend off with a perfect 3-0 record that has seen them climb to #12.

The Rebels offense exploded into life on opening weekend as they ran out 43-23 winners over Louisville.

They followed that up with a 54-17 demolition of Austin Peay before putting on their best display so far.

Ole Miss put up 61 points through the first three quarters as they annihilated Tulane, 61-21.

QB Matt Corral has showcased his Heisman credentials by going 66/96 for 997 yards and nine touchdowns, with no picks.

Corral has also rushed for 150 yards and five scores to be the star of the show on this offense.

Jerrion Ealy and Henry Parrish Jr have also impressed out of the backfield. Ealy has 268 yards from scrimmage and a TD, while Parrish Jr has 238 all-purpose yards and a score.

In the passing game, Dontario Drummond has been Corral’s favorite target. He has 20 catches for 339 yards and four scores. Jonathan Mingo has 290 yards and three TDs.

Alabama Form

Alabama have retained their #1 ranking by winning their first four games of the season – as expected.

The Crimson Tide blew out Miami 44-13 on opening weekend and then rolled over Mercer 48-14.

They had to survive a second-half fightback from Florida to hold on for a 31-29 victory in ‘The Swamp’

There was no such drama last weekend though, as Alabama rolled over Southern Mississippi 63-14.

QB Bryce Young has been red hot through four games, racking up 15 passing touchdowns and just one pick from 122 pass attempts. He has 1,124 yards.

John Metchie has been his favorite target, hauling in 24 catches for 240 yards and a touchdown.

Jameson Williams has been the more explosive receiver though, racking up 299 yards and three TDs.

Out of the backfield Brian Robinson Jr has 208 yards rushing and three TDs (two rushing, one receiving).

RB Jase MccLellan has proven to be a dual threat with 249 yards from scrimmage and four TDs.

Alabama have lived up to their #1 ranking and should retain it with a fifth win of the season.

However, this Ole Miss offense has been firing this season and the Rebels did put 48 points on the Crimson Tide this season.

They are unlikely to spring an upset here, but when the game ends they could be within two TDs of Alabama’s winning total.
