She has won 29 of her last 30 fights, with her only defeat coming against her biggest rival, Katie Taylor, in April 2022.

The split decision defeat to Taylor at Madison Square Garden ended the 34-year-old Puerto Rican’s 28-fight win streak.

That defeat came at lightweight, and Serrano made a return to winning ways later that year when she dropped back down to featherweight.

She beat Sarah Mahfoud by unanimous decision to retain three world titles and add two more to her collection.

Erika Cruz Hernandez is the WBA featherweight champion and takes a 15-1 record into this fight.

The 32-year-old Mexican became a world champion in here 14th professional outing when here bout with Jelena Mrdjenovich was stopped in the seventh round.

Mrdjenovich was deemed unable to continue after an accidental clash of heads, resulting in a technical decision win for Cruz.

In here first defence of the WBA title, in November 2021, she edged Melissa Esquivel via split decision.
