Errol Spence Jr is the current WBC, WBA and IBF welterweight champion with a 28-0 (26 KOs) record.
Spence Jr became a world champion for the first time in 2017 when he travelled to the United Kingdom and stopped Kell Brook in the 11th round to win the IBF title.
He made two defences of the belt in 2018, stopping Lamont Peterson in seven rounds and Carlos Ocampo in just one round.
‘The Truth’ then fought twice more in 2019 as he retained his crown and added to his collection.
Spence Jr bested Mikey Garcia by unanimous decision to keep his IBF belt, and then beat Shawn Porter by split decision to add the WBC title.
He has not been too active since then though, fighting just twice before setting up this huge showdown with Terence Crawford.
The 33-year-old beat Danny Garcia to retain the WBC and IBF welterweight titles in December 2020.
Then, in April 2022, he added the WBA (Super) belt with a 10th round stoppage of Yordenis Ugas.

Terence Crawford is the current WBO welterweight world champion with a 39-0 (30 KOs) record.
Crawford has been competing at world championship level ever since he beat Ricky Burns by unanimous decision to win the WBO lightweight title in March 2014.
He went on to knock out Yuriorkis Gamboa in the ninth round in his first defence, and then beat Ray Beltran by unanimous decision to add the Ring Magazine title.
‘Bud’ moved up to light-welterweight in 2015 and immediately enjoyed success as he stopped Thomas Dulorme in the sixth round to win the WBO title.
Crawford stopped Dierry Jean in the 10th and Hank Lundy in the fifth to retain the title, before collecting the WBC and Ring Magazine belts by beating Viktor Postol on points.
And in his final outing at light-welterweight, after knocking out John Molina Jr and Felix Diaz, Crawford unified the division with a third round stoppage of Julius Idongo.
From there he moved up to welterweight and in his debut fight in the weight class he knocked out Jeff Horn in the ninth round to win the WBO title.
‘Bud’ has gone on to defend the title six times since then, winning every single fight by stoppage.
He knocked out Jose Benavidez Jr in the 12th, Amir Khan in the sixth, Egidijus Kavaliausaks in the ninth, Kell Brook in the fourth, Shawn Porter in the 10th and David Avanesyan in the sixth.
Verdict
The two best welterweights on the planet are set to put on a show in Las Vegas in July.
Crawford may be the smaller man, but he is a surgeon in that ring and is backed to gain the nod on the scorecards.
