Oleksandr Usyk Form
Oleksandr Usyk is the IBF, WBA and WBO world heavyweight champion with a 20-0 (13 KOs) record.
Usyk conquered the cruiserweight division between September 2013 and November 2018.
He won his first world title in his 10th fight, beating Krzysztof Glowacki by unanimous decision back in September 2016.
The 36-year-old Ukrainian then went on to beat Marco Huck by 10th round stoppage to win the WBO title during the World Boxing Super Series tournament.
Usyk ultimately won that tournament in July 2018, beating Murat Gassiev by unanimous decision to unify the WBC, WBO, WBA (Super), IBF and Ring Magazine titles.
He then made one successful defence of the undisputed crown before moving up to heavyweight, stopping Tony Bellew in the eighth round.
Usyk’s heavyweight debut saw opponent Chazz Witherspoon retire after the seventh round.
He then beat Derek Chisora by unanimous decision to set up a world title fight with Anthony Joshua in September 2021.
The Ukrainian won that fight by unanimous decision, and then took the rematch too via split decision last summer.
Daniel Dubois Form
Daniel Dubois is the WBA (Regular) champion with a professional record of 19-1 (18 KOs).
Dubois won several minor titles as he climbed the ladder – a run that included a fifth round stoppage of Nathan Gorman to win the British heavyweight title in July 2019.
He then went on to claim the Commonwealth title in his next fight, stopping Ebenezer Tetteh in only 130 seconds.
The 25-year-old Londoner followed that up with second-round stoppages of Kyotaro Fujimoto and Ricardo Snijders, setting up a big domestic scrap with Joe Joyce in November 2020.
Dubois’ bid to add the European title to his collection ended in failure, as he was knocked out in the 10th round.
He has rebounded since then though, winning four consecutive fights to land this world title fight.
The British heavyweight stopped Bogdan Dinu in the first round and Joe Cusumano in the first round.
Dubois then knocked out Trevor Bryan in the fourth round in June of last year to claim the WBA (Regular) title.
And in his first defence of that belt, Dubois needed only three rounds to take out Kevin Lerena.
Verdict
Oleksandr Usyk is the much better fighter and that will be clear for all to see here.
