Calgary go into this game with the defending champions having lost their last two games to fall to 3-7.
The Stampeders went 1-2 before their first bye week of the season, sandwiching a 26-15 win in Ottawa with a 25-15 loss to the BC Lions and 29-26 double overtime defeat to Saskatchewan.
They fell to a 24-11 defeat to Winnipeg when they returned to action, and then failed to build on a 33-31 win at Saskatchewan as they lost 43-41 in overtime at home to Ottawa.
Calgary then suffered a 25-15 defeat at Montreal before springing the biggest upset of the season so far, beating Toronto 20-7 at home.
The Stampeders could not back that up though, losing 37-9 at the BC Lions before returning home for a 19-18 loss to Winnipeg.
Toronto Argonauts Form
Toronto emerge from the bye week boasting a league-best 7-1, with their only defeat coming against Friday’s opponents, Calgary.
The defending champion Argonauts opened the season with a 32-14 win over Hamilton, and quickly built on that as they won 43-31 at Edmonton and 45-24 at home to the BC Lions.
The wins kept coming after their second early bye week, as they downed Montreal 35-27 and Hamilton 31-15 on the road.
Toronto improved to 6-0 with a 31-13 win over Saskatchewan, but their perfect start came to a shuddering halt a week later as they were beaten 20-7 in Calgary.
The Argonauts bounced back quickly though, beating Ottawa 44-31 before the final regular season bye.
Verdict
Toronto tripped up when they last met Calgary, but they are back at home here and lightning is not expected to strike twice.
