The Wolf Pack opened with a creditable loss to SMU, before getting off the mark with a 28-26 victory at Troy.
They dropped the next two before downing Eastern Washington 49-16, but they failed to follow that up as they lost their conference opener at San Jose State 35-31.
Nevada rallied with a 42-37 non-conference win over Oregon State, but that October 12 success proved to be their final win of the season.
The Wolf Pack closed out the season on a six-game losing run, resulting in a winless conference campaign.

Penn State go into the season opener looking to embark on a run that culminates with a national championship.
The Nittany Lions were denied a flawless regular season campaign in 2024 as they lost 20-13 to Ohio State, but that was not enough to deny them a spot in the Big Ten Championship.
They failed to lift the conference trophy though, as they were beaten 45-37 by an Oregon team ranked number one in the nation at that time.
Penn State put that disappointment behind them as the College Football Playoffs got underway, beating SMU 38-10 in the first round.
The Nittany Lions followed that up with a 31-14 win over Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, but they were denied a place in the National Championship Game as they lost 27-25 to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl.

Penn State are the vastly superior team and that should be clear for all to see in this one.
