Edmonton head to Montreal on a good run of form, having won each of their last three games to improve to 3-7.
The Elks opened with back-to-back home games, but failed to make that count and ultimately went into their first bye week sitting 0-4.
The losing continued after the bye too as they lost back-to-back games against Ottawa, 37-34 at home and 20-14 on the road, before falling 44-28 at home to Hamilton.
Edmonton finally stopped the rot in Week 9 as they travelled to Saskatchewan to beat the Roughriders 42-31.
The Elks then backed that up with a 33-16 success at home against BC, before heading to Hamilton where they beat the Tiger-Cats 47-22.
Montreal Alouettes Form
Defending champions Montreal are riding a four-game win streak that has given them a league-best 9-1 record.
The Alouettes kicked off their defence of the Grey Cup with a 27-12 victory at Winnipeg in the rematch, and that proved to be the start of a five-game win streak.
Their perfect start was finally ended by a 37-18 loss at home to Toronto before the bye week, but they have not lost since.
Montreal returned to winning ways with a 20-16 victory over Saskatchewan, before downing the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton, 33-16.
The Alouettes beat Hamilton 33-23 at home a week later too, before travelling to Saskatchewan for a 27-24 victory last time out.
Verdict
Edmonton have enjoyed a good run recently, but we expect that run to end here.
Montreal have been on a roll and look more than capable of winning back-to-back titles, so we expect an Alouettes win and cover here.
