Montreal head out on the road once again boasting a perfect record after the first two weeks of the season.
The Alouettes, who came up short in last season’s Grey Cup, made the dream start to 2025 as they got a measure of revenge for the defeat in the 2024 East Final.
They hosted defending champions in opening week and ran out 28-10 winners over the Argonauts.
Montreal then followed up that victory and improved to 2-0 a week later as they went out on the road for the first time.
In what was the first of three consecutive road games for the Alouettes, they eased past the Redblacks in Ottawa, 39-18.
Edmonton Elks Form
Edmonton return from an early-season bye week seeking a first victory of the 2025 CFL campaign.
The Elks lost their first seven games in 2024, effectively ending their playoff quest before it ever got off the ground, and they will be desperate to avoid a similar run this time around.
They came into the new season having gone 1-1 in the pre-season, losing 31-4 in Calgary before beating the BC Lions 20-19 at home.
Edmonton and BC met again in opening weekend, but when the result actually matter it was the Lions that came out on top, winning 31-14.
The Elks then had the first of two byes in the first seven weeks of the season, giving them extra time to prepare of this matchup.

These two teams have made very different starts to the 2025 CFL campaign.
Montreal are in form and have had Edmonton’s number in recent seasons, so we expect the Alouettes to get the job done and improve to 3-0.
