The Roughriders made a red-hot start to the season as they won their first four games, including a 30-23 victory over Toronto.
That run was halted by a 35-20 defeat at the BC Lions, and although they responded with a 19-9 win against Winnipeg, their form soon collapsed.
Saskatchewan were beaten 20-16 at defending champions Montreal, before returning home to lose 42-31 to Edmonton.
The Roughriders avoided a third straight loss as they played out a 22-22 tie in Ottawa, but a week later they returned to losing ways as they were beaten 27-24 by Montreal.

Toronto return from the bye week looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since the start of the season.
The Argonauts opened with a 35-27 win over BC and a 39-36 success against Edmonton, only to quickly fall back to .500 with a 30-20 loss to Montreal and a 30-23 defeat to Saskatchewan.
They rebounded upset the Alouettes 37-18 on the road, but failed to build on that upset of the defending champions as they lost 27-24 in Hamilton.
Toronto bounced back with a 16-14 overtime win against Winnipeg, which was then followed by a 27-23 loss in Calgary.
The Argonauts ensured they went into the bye on a positive note though, as they downed Calgary 39-25 to improve to 5-4.
Verdict
Toronto have struggled for consistency, but they have been in good form at home this season.
Saskatchewan, on the other hand, have struggled to maintain their early season form, so we are siding with the Argonauts in this one.
