The Blue Bombers, who suffered their third straight Grey Cup defeat in 2024, will be determined to go all the way in 2025.
They warmed up for the new season with a couple of exhibition wins over Saskatchewan, but a Week 1 bye meant they had to wait a little longer for their opening game.
Winnipeg made up for lost time though, as they opened up at home with a 34-20 victory over the Lions.
The Blue Bombers will look to make it back-to-back wins over BC, before facing Edmonton and Calgary ahead of their second bye week of the season.

BC return home with an opportunity to get immediate revenge for their first defeat of the 2025 CFL season.
The Lions prepared for the new campaign with a back-to-back pre-season defeats, losing to both Calgary and Edmonton.
However, they made the perfect start to competitive action as they avenged that pre-season loss to the Elks, winning 31-14.
BC were unable to back that up though, as they went out on the road for the first time this season and lost 34-20 in Winnipeg.
The Lions will be keen to avenge that defeat, with this being their last home game before a run of three straight on the road.
Verdict
Winnipeg downed BC convincingly a week ago, and we expect similar scenes.
In fact, things could get even uglier for the Lions if they are without starting quarterback Nathan Rourke for this won.
